HORIZON improves economic efficiency with locally produced sustainable fuel.
Uses the goods handling area for solar power production.
The HORIZON solar folding roof covers the entire open goods handling area, including the lanes, and uses it for solar power production. This is possible thanks to the stable lightweight construction, which allows wide distances between supports and a great height.
Ready for e-truck and hydrogen truck.
The switch of industrial transport to renewable energy sources such as solar power and hydrogen is steadily increasing. HORIZON thinks ahead and brings the charging infrastructure with it. Thus, electric cars and electric buses are charged at the company’s own charging stations and the battery-powered trucks refuel on site under the folding solar roof.
Optimises energy load distribution.
Software-supported energy management provides reliable forecasts for optimising load distribution. This reduces electricity costs to a minimum and maximises self-consumption and self-sufficiency. We monitor your solar power plant 24/7 via our specially developed control centre.
Keeps traffic routes clear.
The solar panels hover at a great height. This keeps traffic routes clear – even for large vehicles such as articulated lorries. Snow clearance can also be carried out with a plough or snow blowers without restrictions.
Delivers solar power even in winter.
A weather algorithm takes over the fully automatic operation and protects HORIZON from storms, hail and snowfall by moving it into a safe position. In snowy regions, electricity is also produced in winter, because the modules remain free of snow and are extended again with the first rays of sunshine.
The shade under HORIZON reduces the heating of the vehicles in summer. This increases driver comfort and reduces the amount of air conditioning required for the vehicles. In cities, this reduces the heat island effect.
Aesthetically enhances the goods handling area.
The elegant and shapely design of HORIZON enhances any sealed surface. This is infrastructure-integrated photovoltaics at its best.
